  •  Two of the most honest men under whom (0+ / 0-)

I have worked were LDS folks.

It does profit anyone to categorize folks because of one characteristic.

    Warmest regards,

    •  As I said, most of the LDS folks I've known (0+ / 0-)

were very nice, but the exceptions were exceptional and thoroughly convinced of their superiority as stemming from their faith.  Captain Marty and I were both speaking of observations from personal experience and I believe trying not to paint with too broad a brush.

There are people who misuse belief systems of all sorts and people who don't, knowing the range of observed behavior can help identify and protect one's self and others from the ones who do. As an RN I was trained to make assessments, not judgements. Assessments are by their nature subject to reassessment as needed, judgements are more invested, usually in terms of right and wrong, and more resistant to being updated. I prefer to stay real-time and reality based while still being aware of the potentials. :-)
