    protections has some meaning, some enduring value.

    It's easy to hold Obama up to a standard of not persecuting whistleblowers: frankly, I could not imagine any Democratic President ever doing what Bush and Cheney has done.

    More importantly, the prosecution of those who have abused power must be pursued. If this is not done, permanent damage will ensue, we will relive this scenario over and over again each time right wingers take Executive Power.

    We have seen at the State level.

    Alabama is an excellent example where both the Federal and State level forces of criminality have combined to violate basic precepts of Constitutionality.

    Congress MUST act, perform full discovery and prosecute to the full extent of the law all these violations.
