  •  WEST COAST GOTV (none)
These Eastern States look good right now, but if you're in the West, no rest now...

OREGON, HAWAII, CALIFORNIA, and WASHINGTON will push Kerry over the top.

Freepers are reporting on anecdotal evidence that OR is tied.

At this rate, Bush may vote for Kerry...

    •  Oregon (none)
Oregon votes entirely by mail, I believe...little late for GOTV there.

(Which is not to say, of course, that GOTV isn't still the motto and acronym du jour.)

      •  oregon turnout (none)
local news (NWCN) says that Oregon already had 68% turnout just from absentee balloting.  They're expecting 85% by the end of the day.

      •  Oregon VHBG (none)
        (vote has been gotten)

71% of ballots statewide in Oregon have been turned in as of Monday evening.

      •  Oregon Tied? (none)
We are predicting 90% of Registered Voters voting.  I have a hard time imagining that we are tied.

      •  caution (none)
Just as an FYI, although Oregon is entirely vote by mail, ballots can be dropped off in person at any of a few thousand locations up to 8:00 PST on election day.  I've been a slacker before (not this election) and not dropped my ballot off until 6:00 PM PST on more than one occasion.

So the Oregon GOP could, in theory, have an eleventh hour surge.  It's unlikely, and it would depend on Republicans who weren't inclined to bother voting getting motivated in the face of iminent defeat, but it is, theoretically, possible.

    •  They know that how (none)
      No exit polls in OR.
    •  and my anecdotal evidence says they are full of it (none)
They say OR is tied? They must be on recent polls show Bush within 6% of Kerry in OR. Nobody from either campaign has visited us in weeks. OR is in the bag for Kerry.
