    However, out here in the trenches, things are different.  And we have something the Soviet people didn't have.  We have an array of tools for communication.  An ordinary person had no access to mass communication until recently.

    ... the genpop's willingness to access beyond trad-med info. Most folk still get their info from newspapers, telly-news, and radio. (And still such a small progressive talk audience.)

    Don't be expecting NPR to do anything strong.

      at least the cable news versions, have been greatly affected by what's being written in the blogs.  They don't often credit anyone specifically, but they talk about things being said in the blogs more everyday.

      Also, there's some crossover between the tradmedia and the blogs now.  It's not unusual to see a blogger being interviewed with the pundits.  
      Some reporters are interacting more both with the progressive blogs and having their own blogs on the online version of newspaper sites.

      Tradmedia is paying close attention to what's going on here.

      Even political celebrities like Tina Fey are obviously reading the feedback about themselves.
