I am part of the youth vote and everyone blaming us for the loss of JK is a disgrace.  You know people cry about the youth vote not doing their job but yet blame us when we do come out for a loss.  It's no wonder the youth don't want to participate.

If JK loses this race it's not because of us youth, it is because he didn't run a good enough campaign or the country is more conservative than you thought.

    Don't blame us

It's fabulous that you voted - many thanks & kudos to you. Whether or not the report of low youth turnout is correct, if fewer young people voted than was expected (by our side), then that's just the way things turned out. That's just the measurement.

I don't think that most people are looking to blame (doofusish pro-draft posts are most likely just in-the-moment sourness). It would be insulting to you or any other individual to class you into a demographic with the assumption that you behaved a certain way (last I heard, that was called stereotyping, and generally not considered valid among the reasonable folks). Ne'ertheless, if the stats are correct (and I'm not saying that they are) and the young vote didn't come out as we expected, that's simply why things aren't turning out as expected. We made assumptions that turned out to be wrong (assuming that's true, which I'm not).

whew! I should get some real tap shoes...
