and I'm not going to deprive you of an opportunity for a Google search to ascertain exactly what aid to whom.

I'm not sure I understand the point of this diary.  Is it that numbers require (virtually) no words when the message is so obvious, or that numbers need many more words when the message is so obscure?  (To me it's obvious fwiw.)

You really think the message of that sign is obvious?

The larger point is clear...THIS is the kind of messaging that someone is proudly displaying to the world. It's not effective messaging. "Experts" are behind non-effective messaging. Progressive candidates deserve better.

      •  Depends on who you're sending the message to ... (0+ / 0-)

but even though I know it's about the % GDP they'd like to see allocated to ending world poverty, I'm still not sure about the message. It's just a number.

      •  Yes, it's obvious. And succinct. Both good. (0+ / 0-)

My only criticism is that it doesn't finish the message, which to me would either be we can do better than 7/10 of 1%, or we haven't even met the pathetically small goal of 7/10 or 1%.  Neither of those is terse enough though.
