transition that doesn't signal any capitulation or rash changes of direction.  Obama taking office can't be an event viewed as an opportunity by world actors to try to advance or change their role in global game without the US being fully engaged.  We'd not want this to be an opportunity which might lead to China landing troops in Taiwan, another Bhurma uprising, more coups in Africa, bin Laden attacking the Sears Tower or O'Hare airport in Chicago, etc.

Wait, O'Hare already has major delays, cancellations, reroutes, lost baggage, hours spent on tarmack, or circling in queue, serious security line delays, and is generally frustrating to most passengers--so maybe that'd be a waste of time as a terrorist target.  We should probably sell the Sears Tower to a rich Dubai firm, so it gets serious security.  And messing with any Chicago sports facility, heh, that'd be asking for retaliation that'd go on for generations.  Although the concept of putting multiple generations of Cubs fans out of their misery on opening day has an odd appeal.
