  •  Very south --- (11+ / 0-)

when I was in high school we lived in New Gretna (exit 50), a small town in Burlington Co. that jetted into the water between Ocean and Atlantic Counties.

There was so much history in the area. I wish I had been smart enough to take notes when my neighbors and teachers spoke about where we lived. Stops during the Revolution. Early glass and iron-ore factories. Building boats along the Mullica River.

Much of it passed me by. How to get it back?

    All best -- cl

So close to Atlantic City, Philadelphia and even New York, but so different from them.  The Mullica river and the pinelands are areas I like very much and you are right that there is so much history there but people are having a hard time getting funding and support to preserve it.
