  •  Does anyone remember what Warren said? (6+ / 0-)

I'm a person of faith, so I say God is good and things always have a way of working themselves out.

    Don't worry. Be happy.

and it was noticeable his spirit and intention while doing the invocation. He seemed to be trying to be "great". I could see it and feel it. It was a prideful presentation that was not properly centered where it should have been.

      shame on him.

as if Jesus' General hadn't already been doing that bigger and better for years.

I don't remember what Warren said specifically, except that I thought at the time he was exceptionally inclusive, given his offensive statements a few weeks back. I didn't hear any coded language - tho' I listened explicitly for it.

Perhaps Obama used his aikido skills and did us all a huge favor by inviting Warren to offer the invocation. How often is Warren exposed in his daily ministry among the compliant faithful to the unified outrage and hurt that followed the invitation?

That may have been one of the few times in his isolated, self-centered ministry when there was such concerted blow back to his hateful ideas.

Could it be possible that his increased national prominence as a result of being on this program caused him to recognize the errors in his beliefs?

Was this a "road to Damascus" event for Warren? It would be just like Obama to offer the subtle practice of Aikido to help set him straight.

Warren is no Lowry, but he wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected.
