    The lines didn't mention civil rights, which to me is Johnson's real legacy, because it truly changed America for the better.

      Of course, there is nothing stopping us from writing our own versions.  ; D

        the disparity between what the lines and reality is the biggest with Johnson, although he surly wasn't the only one not represented right, but I can understand that since two lines are very little space to do that. But just reading this one would assume Johnson was nothing but a corrupt Warmonger, while leaving out that domestically he is one of the most liberal Presidents America has ever had, with the Great Society and the Civil Rights Act. An accurate representation would have been to highlight his mistakes in Vietnam but also The Great Society/Civil Rights. Nonetheless I still like the diary, I just felt the need to defend Johnson because he almost always gets a very bad reputation.
