For every Rush there is a Keith. For every Hannity there is a Rachel. For every O'Reilly there is a Mathews, and on and on.

Every time I watch Olbermann and or Maddow I am just as infuriated by the lack of a descenting opinion or contradictory facts.

The main difference between the two models is that conservative talk/commentators are more successful because of the Howard Stern affect where those that dislike him listen twice as long as those that do.

As far as Obama=Terrorist attack I don't see the closing of Guantanamo leading to that. Now if someone is released outright and 2 years later flies a plane into a building I will have a much different opinion.

If these terrorists go from Cuba to another cell then I am okay with that.

P.S for the tinfoil wearing conspiracy theorists out there, a plane will take off with all of them on it and disapear into the Bermuda Triangle.

...putting a Pit Bull and a Poodle on the same level.

There ARE those on the left who are delusional, but Keith and Rachel just ain't them.

President Barack Obama has kept us safe from terrorism for 8 hours.

    •  "infuriated by the lack of contradictory facts"? (8+ / 0-)

When you watch the weather report on the evening news, does it just piss you off to no end when they forecast sunny days, and they fail to also forecast cloudy days as well?

Opinions are contradictory. Facts are just the facts.

      •  yes (0+ / 0-)

        There are very few absolutes.

We all agree torture is wrong, where we disagree is what is considered torture. Therefore there is room for a healthy debate on this issue.

As much as I considered Colmes a "token" liberal view they at least brought on guests of opposing view points.

but to answer your first point when the weather calls for 10 to 12 inches and I adjust my work schedule and see schools cancelled only to see the storm veer off at the last minute and we get a light dusting I do get pissed off.

The forecast of snow was an opinion. The storm veering off was a fact. There's a major difference between the two. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Everyone is not entitled to their own facts.

          (to paraphrase someone).

          •  I agree (0+ / 0-)

After reading it again I see your point.

A better answer would have been what I consider sunny up in NH is different than what they consider sunny in FL.

With government intelligence (insert pun here) what we know as facts are probably 1/10 of the truth if that. What we will learn 10 20 30 years from now as documents become declassified will give us the facts. I will reserve judgement on these issues until more is known.

As far as what constitutes torture I don't know. How do you extract vital information from known or strongly suspected terrorists. WIth lives on the line I don't know if I could answer that question.

My issue with the late night MSNBC news is they don't always present ALL the facts, just the ones that support their opinion.

fair comparison.  Both are bags of hot air that live in their own alternate realities.

And if there are no "contradictory facts" that would mean that Keith and Rachel are telling you the truth.

How sad to know that that "infuriated" you.

      •  Even if you support Keith and Rachel (0+ / 0-)

You can not honestly say they do not have a slant on how they present the news.

I am not saying that they lie, what I am saying is they do not always present the full picture.

When you present selected facts and leave out those that do not support your opinion you are doing a dis-service.

    •  Ridiculous (0+ / 0-)

None of the people on the left have ever called for terrorists to attack the Coit Tower, like Bill O'Reily did, put out racist songs on their radio like Limbaugh did, called for a Supreme Court justice to be poisoned to death like Ann Coulter did.
