    No. The Founders defined treason very strictly so the accusation couldn't be thrown around as an all-purpose intimidation tool:

    Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.

    And by "levying War," the Founders made clear, they meant levying war. Not dereliction, not violating civil rights, not some other kind of criminal behavior. If you're saying Bush was deliberately engineering a military defeat of the US, sure, go prove treason. If not, please don't bring it up. It's crazytalking.
