believe in The Bill of Rights.

    All 10 of them.

    Peace,

    Andrew
p.s. oh yes... this isn't a diary. It's a poor excuse for a comment that might show up about 2/3's of the way down a 3am open thread... you might give that a try instead

    •  Well, Mr. Coordinator, (0+ / 0-)

I don't really buy your idea of progressive....

      nor your idea of Peace....

so your p.s. is not too credible either....

(And yes, I can refer to him by his first name) is a well respected veteran of this site who has earned his political chops in more ways than you can likely imagine.

His credibility is beyond reproach. Yours? Not so much.

Oh, and welcome to Dailykos. Perhaps you might consider being a bit less of a prick by way of introduction.

        •  I'm sure he has plenty of chops (0+ / 0-)

but people who go with the NRA 100% of the time just don't qualify as progressive in my book.

Oh, and thank you so much for the warm and friendly welcome.

          •  You're welcome. (0+ / 0-)

You've earned every word of it.

          •  What about Howard Dean ? He had (0+ / 0-)

the same rating from the NRA for 8 years?

Why are we judging her solely on gun rights anyway? It is not going to be a huge issue in New York. It's the economy.

Sort of wish you would take a look at her pro-choice stance and the fact that she did a lot of pro bono work as a lawyer for abused women.

I don't hear anything about that here.

There are a bunch of people on my diary who don't even live in NY, know nothing about Kirsten and what she did for us Dems in the 20th, and somehow think they're qualified to pass judgement on her before she's even served a day in the Senate.

a lot of that. It has been a tiring day. I think people are so used to hyperventilating about the real problems we've had with Republicans the last few years that it is second nature to see disaster lurking around every corner. Kinda like a post-traumatic syndrome of some sort.

I would suggest to people that they give her a chance and if in 2 years they think she is a horrible Senator then they should support a primary challenger to her.

If in 2 years they think she is a great Senator then they should support her against any primary challengers.

If in 2 years they think she is a perfectly fine Democratic Senator from the Great State of New York but exactly their perfect vision of the most Perfectest Senator you ever could or would desire in your heart... then I think they'l be like 99.999% of other Democrats that will be perfectly happy with Gov. Paterson's pick and will vote overwhelmingly to re-elect her for another 2 years.

All I ask is that folks relax and give her a chance. I am perfectly confident that she will satisfy most all reasonable people and that she will be re-elected by a solid margin in 2 years and then again 2 years after that and then again 6 years after that.

        Peace,

        Andrew

        •  Hmmm... (0+ / 0-)

that third option is supposed to have a "not" in there as in "not exactly their perfect vision... yada yada blah blah"

          Say goodnight Gracie.
