At the risk of offending many in the Greater Cincinnati area, I am again reminded that my decision to leave that place at the age of twenty-one and never look book was the right one.  I joined the USAF, having been raised a liberal Democrat and having been taught by progressive nuns and priests through high school. I went on to serve honorably and, in the process,  to learn about the wider world.

I have lived all over the world, and I must tell you I have never regretted having left that part of the country where there are too many racists, too many who judge others, too many who are ignorant about the nature of our world and other cultures, and too many who simply do not comprehend the extent to which they are way out of touch with reality.

Now, many years after I left Cincinnati, I am reminded of the truly unbelievable worldview of many in that area.  I do hope that changes someday.

where I grew up in Oklahoma.

I was raised and educated by progressives growing up (the only non-progressive around me was my father). I did the same thing. Joined the military (USMC) and saw parts of the world few get to see. I did go back for a few months after I got out but left as soon as I could and never looked back. I've only been back once since then for my mother's funeral and I have no intentions of ever going back even for a visit.

Now is the time to investigate, prosecute, and imprison the former Bush regime. -6.0 -5.33
