right now we're ok. We, self insure through BC/BS. Our premium is zero and once I pay a $50 deductible per year everything after is a co-pay of 10% up to $2000 then the insurance pays 100%. My dental allowance is $3000 per year. My husband is the lawyer for a small union and he negotiates the health care of the employees. 95% of them pay a zero premium and their deductible is 300$. Once that is met they also pay 10% up to $2000 as a single person. The family cap is that once 3 in a family of any size meet the deductible there is no more deductible after that. So max family cap is $900. Again for them it's a 10% co-pay until they reach $2000 and then insurance pays 100%. Employee dental is $1500 per year. He negotiates for the company to pay whenever he can including when premium rates increase. It may not be perfect but he really tries. He's also for universal care and wishes to see it instituted as soon as possible.

You don't make peace with friends. You make it with very unsavory enemies.
