Press reports hint that the Obama administration may yet allow a loophole for CIA interrogators

All that means that all interrogations will be CIA managed. In Vietnam the CIA did a big percentage of the VC interrogations. They were brutal up to the point of taking a couple of prisoners up in a helicopter and asking one a question and he didn’t answer throwing him out for a long fall to his death. The next guy would start saying anything he could to avoid the big way of knowing until much later if they got truth because if the guy didn't know what they want to hear they would telling the interrogator something, anything to stay alive.  Torture and murder is a poor way of getting information because people will say anything you want or they think you want to stay alive and or stop the pain, and of course both methods are forbidden by the Geneva Conventions. People who order such methods as well as the people who conduct such interrogations are war criminals and should be tried for their crimes, no matter what those arseholes Cornyn and Specter think.
