    part of the SF/F genre, as it often deals with things that either could never really happen, or with things that could happen but (as far as we know) have not yet because they're not yet possible.

    Stephen King's "The Stand," for example, is a science fiction story about a bioengineered flu bug gone out of control. It's also horror. At the time it was written, we didn't have the ability to bio'neer a flu bug. We probably do by this point.

    Comfort the disturbed. Disturb the comfortable.
