    So, $80,000 for a rug.  Well, who did he buy that rug from?  Who's sister-in-law got the commission for selling the rug?  Was that really the list price of the rug?  Or, was that the made up price to cover up some "decorating" funds going elsewhere?  What store sold him the rug?  For some store, that kind of money could keep them in business for another month.  Whose brother-in-law owned that store?

    Frankly, I don't think those were "list" prices.  Perhaps the rug was an investment piece, as was the other pieces of furniture.  Perhaps he was handing out a different kind of "bonus" to people he does business with.

    I'd love to hear the whole story about these purchases.  Perhaps in the really good books people are surely writing now.
