    if things warm up enough that there isn't any natural habitat left at all for them, humans may no longer have polar bears very high on their lists of priorities.

    I would guess they trank them, unless they've got some kind of bear version of Temple Grandin working for them. That bear photo looked like it captured by tuna fishermen. Hard to imagine a fully alert polar bear couldn't tear through that.

      last year when I was in Churchill to see them.  Another reason they don't feed them (other than it associates food with the Bear Jail) was that they didn't want to have to clean out the cages regularly.
