  •  "America this is quite serious. (none)
America this is the impression I get from looking at the television
    set.
    America is this correct?
I'd better get right down to the job.
It's true I don't want to join the Army or turn lathes in precision
parts factories, I'm nearsighted and psychopathic anyway.
America I'm putting my queer shoulder to the wheel."

-Allen Ginsberg, "America," Howl and Other Poems.

Get on with it people - put your own queer shoulders to the wheel.  It's politics and someone has to lose.  This time we lost the election.  But we're still right.  I'll always rather be right and lose than win and be wrong.  To quote the marvelous Dougy Thompson, criminal trial attorney extraordinaire:  "I've never lost a trial.  Some of my clients have but...."  The point?  It's the process and the principal.  We did a hell of a great job for the process - thankyou kos - and John Kerry, good man that he is, lead us in a hard fight for the principal.  Obama continues the poetry - which is fine by me.

    Humph.
