    with Klobuchar already there?

I don't see why the slots on Foreign Relations and Banking had to go to Gillibrand and Bennet--for God's skae the Dems should be acting as if Franken's entrance to teh Senate is a done deal.  He shouldn't be punished for winning a very tough senate race--while Gillibrand just got appointed.

Those committee assignments are terrible--Reid and the Dems should absolutely do whatever is necessary to get Franken on a second major committee.  HELP is fine but it is ridiculous to have Frnaken on only one major committee.

If looks could kill it would have been us instead of him.

It is unusual but not unheard of for both members from a state to serve on the same committee.

Coleman and Klobuchar both served on the Agriculture Committee in the 110th Congress, as did Grassley and Harkin from Iowa.

There is even precedent for both members from a state who are both of the same party serving on the Committee.  Mark Dayton and Paul Wellstone served on the Agriculture Committee at one point, as did Tom Daschle and Tim Johnson from South Dakota.

on Ag to Franken during the campaign.
