    ...which is really the reason underlying any of my usage beefs:  I'm not a stickler for the sake of being a stickler, but because some changes reduce clarity and raise the chance of misinterpretation.

    FSM knows, oral communication is difficult enough, without introducing self-inflicted hazards.
