deserved it to jail for Watergate and Iran/Contra, and if we send those involved in dragging us through the mud of their 24 nightmare, there won't be much left of the Republican party.

Why does it seem it that there have been no serious violations of our highest principles when Democrats are in charge?  Even the worst that Democratic leaders have done, like interring the Japanese during WWII or lying about the Tonkin Gulf incident can't come close to what the GOP has done.

Aren't there some spare RICO indictments laying around that can be filed against the criminal enterprise that has taken over the Republican Party?

    •  Sometimes it's only a difference of degree. (4+ / 0-)

Carter got us involved in El Salvador and East Timor, and imposed sanctions against Nicaragua immediately after they kicked our puppet dictator out, but he was also responsible for withdrawing US support of both Somoza and the Shah.  Much the same can be said about Clinton, but in both cases their hearts were in the right place and the good mostly outweighed the bad.  With Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan and both Bushes, there was no heart.

I repeat: So?  They did the crime, let them do the time.
