  •  Long overdue? He's been president for 2.5 weeks (7+ / 0-)

and look at all he's accomplished.

You're probably asking a little bit too much there, especially when he explicity says that he will:

"I guarantee you that we will sign an executive order for stem cells" but that he wants to work with the House and Senate to make the order solid. "God gave us (the) power to make smart decisions , to cure diseases, to alleviate suffering."

I think I've read just a couple positive things about Obama in the past week on the front page of DailyKOS.

You guys really need to aim your guns elsewhere.

    •  Hm, gets me thinking (0+ / 0-)

Didn't we often see Front Page finger-pointing at the traditional media for . . . contriving discord and creating the sense of conflict where very little to none actually existed?

Well, your observation makes me ponder . . . eh, no:  I'd have a tough time suspecting that even a subconcious, meme-based undercurrent has been circulating here to get some reaction from us or others.  Probably just our natural desperation for complete turnaround after so many horrible years affecting even the Front Page writers as much as us.  I respect them very much for all the work they put in, and we all want things to move in the same direction.

Even if I'm becoming increasingly curious whether kos is simply bringing out more cynicism or implicitly attempting to take contrarian-style positions on Obama for the heck of it (i.e., to look bold and different on a Democratic enablement site).

"So, please stay where you are. Don't move and don't panic. Don't take off your shoes! Jobs is on the way."
