    Abu Ghraib officer fights reprimand

U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Christopher R. Brinson, who in civilian life works as the deputy chief of staff for Alabama Republican Rep. Mike Rogers, was directly in charge of some of the military police later prosecuted for abuse at Abu Ghraib during the notorious autumn of 2003. Food/Health Issues! Vote on Best Blog 2009!

From his lawyer, quoted in the Salon piece:

Captain Brinson had no knowledge while he was at Abu Ghraib of conduct by certain soldiers

Sure he had knowledge about about it. Here's two things he knew:

The dead guy in the shower room on November 4, so they had to wake Brinson up? Heart attack.

Soldier reports of Brinson beating a guy on November 24? Just pretending.
