    •  Why wait? Why not join us and support it? (0+ / 0-)

How about putting up some from pagers on the advantages of single payer and the bill.  suggest ways we can get it move alone. Put the power of the pen/Front page to work man!

    •  my real answer is fear for what happens after (0+ / 0-)
Per my diaries a while ago here:

      http://www.dailykos.com/...

My real concern is that something will pass, let's call it Baucus/Obama... and then what happens afterwards when it fails and costs explode. Who get the blame?

Who Wins "I Told You So" After the Next "Reform" Fails?

It is also a matter of who gets to win the "I told you so" argument after the next reform passes, and if it fails as Single Payer advocates believe it will. At the very least we want to be sure that after the next reform does pass, that if it fails, the next step is forward to single-payer ("see you left the private for-profit in as wasteful cheating unneeded intermediaries"), and not backward ("see government tries to reform things and it went badly") to market fundamentalism.

      •  same argument about the stimulus bill (0+ / 0-)

nonetheless, something needs to move forward.

      •  If Health care reform fails (0+ / 0-)

We won't be alive to see a new version. We have to get it right we have to get as close to single payer as we can.
