what with Krugman's saying the compromise makes it too little, and the likelihood of getting more later is low. Anyone else suffering from jobs-bill-pessimism breakdown?

He should volunteer himself for a cabinet post and start actively contributing to the solution.

Obama would have been hard pressed to appoint Judd Gregg if Krugman had publicly offered to take the Commerce portfolio -- I am convinced of it.

...that Treasury is the econ/banker position while Commerce is the business guys position.  You tend to want to appoint a CEO to that position, which makes the Gregg appointment all the stranger.

      •  Well, actually, I thought he was probably (0+ / 0-)

right, so I was more worried than tired of it. I just want to hide my head under a blanket and come out when it is all over and Obama has people working again and they don't lose their homes and they can go to doctors and the richer ones can buy my husband's artwork and his business can pay its bills and then actually pay him and stuff. Ah, fantasy ;) [Not to worry about the last bit: I have a good and reliable job so we are not in trouble at the moment. Crossing fingers that 'the moment' continues.]
