When Paul sang I Saw Her Standing There tonight at the Grammy Awards, I remembered how the Beatles - literally - raised us up out of our mourning for JFK.  For a few minutes I went back to those days of feeling so damned good.

Unfortunately our new president has to be both dad and hero, so he won't get to have the fun the Beatles did.

None of this was necessary - there wasn't a worldwide tsunami or some other condition we couldn't help.  It was the greed and power hunger of a small segment of society that brought the world down.

It will take a lot more than a teenage crush to get us out of this mess. But thanks anyway, Paul. It's good to see you happy again.

    Dennis Kucinich was right.

My wife and I were grateful that he went right back to one of THE first Lennon-McCartney songs, with that cookin' new group of guitarists with him. The crowd went NUTS, and I loved it.
