  •  I love how (11+ / 0-)

"Obama messed up by letting the Republicans get a week's head start on the stimulus in the media" has turned into "Obama is a complete failure two weeks into his term."

Guess I shouldn't be surprised and heck, I can predict with about 99% accuracy that later today or tomorrow we are going to get a, "You all just think Obama can do no wrong and are Imperialists" from the other side of the argument up on the rec list.

Face the facts. Then act on them. Don't pray, don't wish. Face the facts. Then act.

    •  Or, alternately (7+ / 0-)

Some will point to these poll numbers and take credit for them, as in: "Well, Obama was screwing it up big time until we started our poutrage, and we forced him to get it together and now look at how it's helped him."

I'm counting down the seconds to that inanity.

    •  OpenLeft has peaked stupid (8+ / 0-)

Their analysis that Obama's failed presidency is caused by psychological deficits cannot be topped in stupidity - i hope

Others have suggested repeatedly that it goes back to his absent father, and while I think that's part of it, I think it's also possible that a more positive encounter with social change potentials in early adulthood could have substantially compensated for that childhood experience, at least in the realm of his political attitude, orientation, and philosophy.  It's the combination of the two that I think we have to reckon with.  Obama has, quite simply, no life model of what it means to really win.  And that is a really big problem if you're the leader of a political party, particularly if you're President.

just mowed down Clinton and BushCo?

Obama has, quite simply, no life model of what it means to really win.

Obama doesn't know what it means to win!?!  Yikes, that's scary.

        From that article:

However, the contradictions I've highlighted lead me to question if Obama will actually do what is needed for his own political success.

I'm wondering where the author has been over the last week while Obama was going directly to the people and calling out the Repulican obstructionists - successfully too IMO.

Some people believe Obama's bi-partisan thing was a plan to let the Republicans hang themselves.

Others think it represented missteps of someone new to Presidential power.

This author wants to say what - that this is what caused him to emphasize bipartisanship?

his boomer parents abandoned him, and his grandparents raised him.

        Huh?

Maybe someone else can make sense of this article but this just sounds silly.  Here's a link in case anyone wants to read it:

        •  The guy is just projecting because after all we (0+ / 0-)

all know that Obama did not actually run against Clinton and McCain and won clear victory in a struggle were he was maligned every day of the week and twice at Sundays.

I dont understand the personal attacks.

the guy is just a determinist jerk and should be castigated if not castrated so as to not spread his freakness to others.

        •  open left hates the obama coalition (0+ / 0-)

They are bitter that after 20 years of talking about doing something, some of us are actually do it, and not kissing their asses.
