Both the republican's position, their tactics to force a compromise, and the resulting compromise are relatively unpopular to what the democrats are attempting.....and the republicans know it and don't care.

But the program that the government ends up with is not going to be entirely Obama's program.  You should be shouting at the senators who are interested in what's popular today.

...especially considering the fact that Republicans and their back-asswards policies are so out of favor with the American people:

It doesn't mean that Obama should not attempt bipartisan compromise, it simply means that failure to win more than one or two repub votes is not a failure of the strategy.

So I say, "Yes it does!"  It is failure to compromise with the uncompromising, and it is stupid to include policies that JUST DON'T WORK for the sake of appearing "bipartisan".  Right is right and wrong is wrong...

        Let the Republiban compromise.

require compromise.  That's the hard truth, especially when all the Repubs and half the Dems (at least) are bought and paid for by corporations.

If you want anything done at all, especially on Iraq, Healthcare, Green Energy, you're gonna have to get used to it or be ready to go crazy.

I'm not saying don't work for your ideals.  Call, write, protest, speak loudly, donate, etc etc!!!  I'm all for it and do it myself, but policies change slowly.
