in bettering our country. And the Democrats who are fighting Obama are just plain out of touch.

America knows that the USA is now in the business of printing money. And to shut out programs for needy is insulting and disgusting.

Their scam has been to program people into thinking that stewardship of public assets is fascistic. It really did start, in a big way, with Reagan. Even Nixon, for all his policy faults, at least conceived of his office as a stewardship; he started the EPA. But Reagan was the first one to say fuck serving people. What are we, bunch of hippies? He glitzed up that idea, and Americans bought right into it.

Strangely, it's a kind of entitlement mentality, in that expecting the benefits that accrue from stewardship, while thinking stewardship is so post-war/retro/uncool, implies that you feel entitled to something you haven't worked for. And our current mess could very well be a reaping of that sowing of the entitlement mentality; MLM, junk bonds, "instruments," pos-think/"The Secret" new-age entitlement bullshit, a stunning degree of neglect to invest in the infrastructure necessary to the maintenance of the decent, westernized society that we once epitomized.

It's a perfect scam: They get to ride the merry-go-'round of screwing up the system, then telling their constituents to elect them so they can "fix" it.

Obama is like Clinton; he just wants to do his job.

That Americans in sufficient numbers woke up to elect someone who was obviously chomping at the bit to serve people is something we really can be proud of.

Isn't it a good feeling when you see the paper in the morning, it says 'Axe Slayer Kills 19' and you say, "They can't pin that one on me!" - Jean Shepherd
