The things that were done require real accountability.  And I can't help but wonder if this isn't just the ultimate hypocrisy for the Democrats who railed against everything that occurred when they had limited power over it, and now that they have the power, they choose to "reconcile".  What is their real motivation for this decision?  Do they truly think it's the right thing for the country?  Or are they refusing to allow the complicity in their own ranks (and yes, perhaps crimes for some) to be revealed and dealt with?

As for the watchdog bloggerz, if Pres. Obama supports the T & C Commission, more will be cheerleading and defending than watchdogging, I'm afraid.

Many of the things that happened were, without a doubt, heinous crimes.  The way of dealing with crimes in this country is through the courts.  In addition, I had really hoped that we would deal with these crimes adequately here at home.  If we don't, we could very well face an international group who decides to try to hold them accountable.  And who could blame them if they did?  If we don't take care of our own problems, ones which affected many people across the globe, we will be further disgraced.
