    •  How to get rid of the machines (none)
It's not likely to "get legs" in the corporate media.  They deal only in "sound bites" for a reason.  We should try, of course, but our objections to the election are likely to suffer the same fate as our objections to the war--yeah, it was entirely illegal and illegitimate, so what?

Our purpose must be TO GET RID OF THE MACHINES.  We can't do anything, in the long run, without the right to have our vote counted.  Congress has several bills that require a paper trail, but they are not likely to be passed by Bush's illegitimately elected Congress.  It may have to be a state by state, county by county, fight.

It's winnable and doable.  Most people want fairness--but it will need organization, determination and focus.

Meanwhile, many on the Left are going around maligning the "red" states.  How do we know how they really voted?  We don't!

(Note:  A paper trail is a bottom line requirement--the only way to know if the final count is accurate. There are also problems with Diebold or Diebold-type machines doing the central vote count.  And, of course, there are also all the other Bush Inc. efforts to suppress the vote--purging voter lists, etc.  They had a multi-pronged strategy for stealing this second election--a  few %'s here, a few %'s there.  All must be strongly dealt with.)
