    I got suspended all the time in high school and still ended up with an ivy league education. I'm not defending the school's decision in this case, but being suspended for a few days isn't all that big a deal. . .

      When? I suspect (though can't prove) that such things might matter more now especially as a result of grade inflation. There are far more straight-A students now, thus people have to distinguish themselves more in other ways.

      IN the last 10 years we've adopted to hyper competition where, now, anyplace that you need to be accepted to will revoke their acceptance upon news like this.  I expect that her acceptance into the merchant marine is gone, soon if not already.

      Please, overturn the governmental immunity for employees clause for these school asshole so that they can have their personal assets endangered by this idiotic ruining of her future.
