and great garndparents were invaders. They are the beneficiaries of the resulting system of racist oppression and inequality. But they are also Zimbabweans now. Trampling on their rights (which do NOT include a monopoly on the best lands) is no doubt a temptation, but a politics of revenge should not be confused with one of liberation. Any white farmer willing to work the same size piece of land as his black neighbors should be allowed to.

that mean anything. The white farmers who were more recently disenfranchised are typically "natives" of Zimbabwe. Shall we start punishing children for the criminal acts of their fathers? Shall we ignore the reconciliation and agreements that went before when Zimbabwe was a functioning nation?
If there are solutions to the Zimbabwean problem, they are African solutions, but I hope that doesn't mean that only black Africans need apply for modern justice.

Ireland after the UK withdrew from the South?

Several factors, but the single biggest one was that sensible land reform had been going on for 30 years before the Easter Rising.

Once they've recovered the ability to excercise their right of self-determination, a conquored people are going to recover at least the lions share of the lands stolen from them.

That doesn't excuse the ill-planned and corrupt actions of Mugabe, but land reform is absolutely necessary.
