for dragging the taxpayers of Minnesota through this.

I hope he gets the bill.

    Nice work.

The business of Nations is never morality. Moral stories live only through people.

"Tool" is not an all-purpose insult.  Unless you want to claim that a person is being manipulated by another entity for its own advantage (and not that person's advantage) then don't call him or her a "tool".  That's what "tool" means -- an instrument in the hands of a manipulator who is not the "tool".

I know of no evidence that Coleman is the instrument of any other entity, or that he is pursuing his recount strategy for the advantage of any person other than himself.  Indeed, the self-interest here is patently obvious.

If, however, you want to call Coleman a dick, then call him a dick.  But "tool" and "dick" are not synonyms.

I agree with your analysis of the semantics, and therefore would argue Normie's the poster-boy for "tool"!

Check this out in Politico.  (True, Politico often not the best source, but given the subject, I'd give it some credibility.)

"How long should Coleman hold out?

'However long it takes,' says Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who chairs the NRSC.

'I encourage him to see it through the end,' Cornyn said Thursday. 'He feels like he owes it to the voters of Minnesota and his colleagues here. He realizes how important retaining that seat is to us.'" (emphasis added)

Cornyn's an idiot, to be sure, but is he so stupid he thinks anyone will buy that BS?  Plus, the reporting is that McConnell & Boehner's PACs are maxed out in supporting Normie's fund.

Everyone knows Norm's cooked here.  This is one massive disenfranchising delay tactic to keep the Senate balance as Repub-friendly as possible for as long as they can drag it out.

        And Normie's their tool.
