I understand that after taking feedback from county election officials and other key stakeholders, Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie may be recommending a change in Minnesota election law that would call for the elimination of most forms of absentee balloting and replace it with a system of "early voting" wherein electronic polling stations would be set-up in county court houses so that early voting would be done "on-site" using the same kind of paper ballots and scanning machines that are used on election day.  This process would eliminate many of the problems that now exist with early voting in Minnesota.  This is just a heads up.  I do not known the details.  More info should be available from the Minnesota Secretary of State's office.
