The Repubs are banking on the economy failing -- Rush was telling the truth, they really do want Obama to fail, because they've bet everything on it. If the economy isn't recovering by 2010, they can claim to have opposed the Democrats' wasteful pork spending, promise to bring back the era of small government, because what the economy needs is more free-market ideas, yada yada. The irony being, of course, that if the economy isn't recovering by then, it will be largely because the stimulus bill and bank "bailout" (still hoping for nationalization)weren't aggressive enough to try to appease these same fucktards. It's so frustrating and all about naked politics.

You mean the one that raised the national debt by 3 trillion dollars in 8 years? The one that added a major new benefit (prescription drugs for seniors) WITHOUT PAYING FOR IT?

Obama will be able to slap this down in one minute --- shame on the Democrats in the House & Senate who can't.

Ronald Reagan exploded government - when Republicans are in charge they spend more than Democrats...
