  •  Yes, and it makes me feel sorry (5+ / 0-)

that that passion, a valuable and much-needed quality, seemed to have getting derailed on vendettas. I don't remember the guy and certainly was never involved in whatever his beef was. But after reading the initial diary yesterday (which I felt was insulting and offputting in its contention that people here killed him by disagreeing with him, especially given that we STILL have no solid medical facts about what he died of), I went to his site and it was sad to see the list of his post topics at the side - with subjects like "President Obama" garnering a half-dozen posts, sports getting 13 — but "Daily Kos" got a whopping 75 posts.

It's a reminder that life is too short to squander it on negativity and people who don't enhance your life.

and many of his diaries.  Yeah, he went over the top sometimes, but so much of what he wrote made so much sense...

I am so sad that he is gone.  Until now, it was only speculation, and now it is real.  Good-bye, Dave, and thank you so much....

    •  he was just another individual that the (6+ / 0-)

"mob" liked to fuck with.  why do we let it happen?  it has nothing to do with this guy's life or death - what does matter, however, is why we allow people to treat passionate progressives with baiting, condescending malice, under the guise of "community moderation."  davefromqueens was banned from this site, as i understand it, and he didn't deserve it.  and the people who fucked with him aren't progressive, and in many cases, only barely interested in politics... all they are, which are found on the nets in sad abundance, are bullies.

i hope we make kos "more enhancing" for the passionate, sincere, caring progressives - who - although they may be "wrong" at times, are no less valuable for the mistakes they make.
