  •  Isn't that the point -- Risk == Leadership (none)
What's the point of worrying about 'future candidacy' if we are not willing to go full blast at defending each and every voter in this election?

I am cross posting; I am not going to stop on this issue. Kos can yank by id if he wants, but I am going to be a major league pain in the butt on this most crucial matter in our history -- and that is not hyperbole.

    thank you

    •  understanding life, you're a fighter (none)
that's great. frankly, i don't know where or how to fight right now, so that's where i'm coming from. but i like yer energy.

      •  Thank you and PLEASE begin... (none)
by posting a similar Diary -- Title it: Markos -- Please Call Dean or Kerry

copy all my text. this is not about pride it is about saving our Democracy and about proving our unyielding devotion to the single most important aspect of that Democracy -- one citizen, one vote; ALWAYS recorded.

Thank you. Please put your shoulder to the wheel one more time; I know it's hard just now but what better way to recover than to fight for each of those folk who stood in line for hours to vote.

    •  Exactly (none)
Leaders have balls.  Unfortunately, the Swifties and the media cut Kerry's off.
      •  Well, you can cut my balls off and I'll still kick (none)
the shit out of you if you tread on our American Democracy.

So, let's be the one's to carry the fight.

We had fun with 'sinclair' and got some pushups on issues like 'al kakakaka' -- so now, let's flex those muscles and make every vote count and bring a massive focus onto Bush -- you want to claim 'mandate'; you want to claim legitimacy, well dude you better be demanding accurate recording of every ballot cast in this election or you are a FRAUD.

      •  That and "grow a pair" (none)
Please, can we stop this?  Dean would not have done this, not facing these realities:

        1.  Lost the popular vote.
        2.  Unlikely to win even with a challenge.
        3.  Most important of all, after 2000, we would
survive.  No violence in the streets, even
            less support than Gore got.

And it's not because we are gutless, spineless, or ball-less.

        •  Say very little and (none)
this type of shit happens again.

Who knows in 2008 they could win Ohio by 5,000 votes.  They need to throw this out there, but not look like whiners.

        •  How do we know we lost the popular vote? (none)
But, more importantly, why will all those disenfranchised individuals ever vote again.

It's easy to talk about this stuff. What more than 58,000,000 Americans expect is that someone actually lead and the leading begins with demanding that each vote is recorded accurately.

Maybe Dean, if asked, would be that leader.
