    Bluebuckaroo Jr. is in college, hoping to get into the health care field someday. Besides math and science, she's taking some Women's Studies/LGBT classes, so I sent her a link to your diaries.

    My kids and their friends seem to have a pretty easy-going acceptance of others with different gender or sexual orientations, so I hope that's a good sign for the future!

      We have a lot of minority students.  Some of them were born in countries even more backward in the acceptance of GLBT people than the US, if one can even imagine such a thing.  In the Caribbean countries, for instance, gay tourists might be grudgingly allowed, but local gays are continually threatened or attacked.  

      Aruba, for instance, was forced to recognize and allow same-sex marriages by the home country of the Netherlands, but only after four years of strife.
