I have boycotted before (I keep a running list in my head), with little success. I stopped shopping at a local grocery store that busted the union and fired everyone and rehired at lower wages and no health insurance. That was 5 years ago. They're still in business.

I guess our only hope is the "buy local" movement. I do my best, but even if I shop at the local hardware store, 99% of their merchandise is from China, so who am I helping?

Wait, I have an idea. Bring back tariffs. Everything that comes in has to be priced at a level that would match the cost if it were produced here at a living wage.

    An even longer shot.

I haven't bought gas at an Exxon station since 1989, not because of the spill, because they sent lawyers to Alaska before they sent clean up crews.

My ongoing boycott of Exxon has not been as successful as I would hope.

Included in that is Starbucks, Walmart, and AT&T.

Feels kind of futile, but Hershey's chocolate sucks anyway, so I'm on board.

Should result in record profits for them, if history repeats.
