  •  made in the usa? (0+ / 0-)

are the cheaper imitations made in the usa then?

    •  a Where Its Made website would be wonderful (0+ / 0-)

I can't think of a more helpful site than one we could go to and find out where our food is being made.

It could also tell us where other products are made.  Too many times now I find products that just say "distributed by" with no country of origin information.

Too many products just state that they are distributed by  x y or z.  It is my understanding that many food brands like S&W, Hunts and others have been sold or the license to use the brand name has been sold to another company.  That means that any product carrying a brand name you have recognized for many years could have been sold to a foreign company and you are eating food from "who knows where!"

It seems to me, we need food that is labeled imported from the Country that is shipping it into the USA.  That includes food that has ingredients that are imported.  At least, we would have a choice.

Though I must say the FDA has not exactly been on top of keeping our domestic food products safe.

from the USA to begin with than to buy from a country that has moved OUT of the USA in order to increase profit and kill the American worker's chances of a decent living.

Beware the lollipop of mediocrity: lick it once and suck forever.
