    Once it becomes established how the fraud operated, where the documents are, the path through the accounting, how to detect coverups and so on, it will become easier to establish other cases. Having done some forensic accounting, sometimes figuring out the filing system takes weeks. Say there are 5 people per case, that's 9,000 accountants on it.

    From personal experience, many places now keep their accounting offices in perpetual turmoil. Offices are understaffed. Temps are brought in to do jobs that normally should be done by staff. One thing I notice is that a lot of bank reconciliations are being done by temps. That is a major red flag.
