    Rep. Frank in particular has been pissing me off lately.  

    Inexplicably to me, the Bush administration ignored the very specific [TARP] language in their first efforts to deal with Wachovia.

    He goes on and on about what they "mandated."  Well, Rep. Frank, if it's not an explicit requirement, and even then, if Congress can't be bothered to enforce it via hearings, contempt proceedings, and the credible threat of impeachment, then it's not a mandate at all, it's just a futile suggestion.  In fact, it's worse than that, it's propaganda — that language and his complaints about it give the impression that he's being responsible with his power, when he's not.  And it's inexplicable to him that Bushco would want to shovel more cash to rich people?  Piss off, Rep. Frank, you're lying.

    Government and laws are the agreement we all make to secure everyone's freedom.
