I am just one of the little guys who get's crushed as the big boys play their games.
From our perspective, he stole the money then tangled with the Bushies. The charges that he is facing now are in addtion to the $$ he raided from the US west pensions.
Maybe he did have some future secret contracts, but he and the other scoundrels were selling giant contracts of bandwidth to themselves ala Enron besides the crimes he is on trial for.
So it makes my petty little man heart glad to see him still on trial for something. At least he has to keep showing up in court.
Also, if he was a dupe for the Bushies where's the tell all book that would net him millions?

I think you are struggling with mine.

He's not facing any charges that I know of.  He's been tried and convicted.  Evidence that should have been admitted was excluded.  The 10th Circuit refused to grant a new trial.  If the Supreme Court refuses to hear his case (and it very likely will), it's over.  Done.  Finished.  We will never learn whether he was prosecuted solely because of government retaliation for his refusal to go along with an even bigger scheme.  I think that's a bad thing.

I don't really give a shit about Nacchio himself, but I smell a much bigger rat that is about to walk away scott free.

Convicted felons can't profit from their crimes, there will be no book deal, or if there is, the profits will go to victims as restitution.

      •  You are correct (0+ / 0-)

        "He's been tried and convicted"
For those of us, his victims so to speak, it hurts every day to see him walking around free as a bird.
