    A truly progressive Dem wouldn't stand a chance, but a moderate Dem could probably do ok. Utah (and Idaho) while bluer than blue have elected Dem governors before.

    Idaho had Cecil Andrus serve as governor for a total of 16 years--and this was with a 10 year gap inbetween terms.

    (Served 77-77 then served in Carter's cabinet. Ran again in '86 easily beating his opponent then got a fourth term.)
