  •  After all of the times (3+ / 0-)

where the FOX people claimed that this site is racist/anti-simitic/vile... because of a member diary, I think it's time to use it against them.

    Sean Hannitty is advocating treason.

And it should be front paged.

how many times did they attribute something to obama because it was up on his campaign site?  remember that black panther thing?

    •  No. In fact I would argue the opposite is true. (2+ / 0-)

we are not Fox news for a reason.  We should not be embrasing their tactics.  It doesn't make it any more right just because WE do it.

      •  I would usually agree (0+ / 0-)

with that sentiment, but Hannitty needs to be fully exposed for the hypocrite that he is.

        •  and we do that by becoming as big a hypocrite... (0+ / 0-)

...as he is?  We do that by becoming what he says we are?

          Really?  Come on.

          •  How does using his (0+ / 0-)

own definition against him make us hipocrytes? Hell, we could even caveat it by pointing out that these are his rules, not ours.

            •  If we take them... (0+ / 0-)

...they no longer remain just HIS rules.

              •  oh stop (0+ / 0-)

no one is advocating adopting Hannity's rules (by the i mean a total lack of ethics, scruples and dignity).  if the progressive movement occasionally isn't perfect, and doesn't operate with perfect integrity, i'm sure dawn will be here to condemn people for it.  i'm not sure why you're being so combative here today dawn.  i don't post all that often so i'm not generally familiar with your work.  bad day?

Remember when Hannitty kept saying that Obama was friends terrorists and then was confronted by a Democrat who had Hannitty reeling because he had a racist bigot on his show the night before.

There are people and times who call for having their arguments thrown right back in their faces. IMO this is one of those times and Hannitty is one of those people.

          •  just to highlight (0+ / 0-)

Dawn said: "and we do that by becoming as big a hypocrite..."

C'mon now.  You seem to talk a good pedantic line here about intellectual precision and high standards of integrity.

If Hannity is a 98 on the 1-to-100 lying dirtbag scale, are you really prepared to assert that a normal person with a shred of integrity who occasionally employs Hannity's tactics is "AS BIG A HYPOCRITE" as Hannity?  Also a 98 on the lying dirtbag scale?  No?  Well, stop painting with a broad brush and running around this post kicking people in the kneecaps.
