    with you.

You must fight fire with fire. Last night I responded to "liberal Marine" that Kerry is too much of a gentleman to not concede; also, meaning he is too much of a gentleman to have done the dirty work that needed to be done.

I'm with you. I would have trashed Bush. In my old age, I've learned how to do that (age plus years in advertising & PR) very well. Think about it this way: how can a man who so obviously lied and twisted facts be seen as being more honorable and better able to keep us safe than a man who put himself in danger in Vietnam for all of us? It makes absolutely no sense to me. It's contradictory. Kerry should have been the poster boy for honor and capability. You and I could have made it so.

They drowned us out and they emphasized their lies so many times that people heard them so often, they believed them. As someone else said, Bush had 3 years to drum his message into peoples' brains. Along with his evangelicals, remember, it was big business behind him as well, even liberals like Sumner Redstone, who voted for Bush because he is better for business. Again, greed wins over the common man's needs.

This makes me fear that Hillary won't win for us next time. She's also a part of what 'middle America' (this is the term I've used since college, a long, long time ago when referencing those who actually determine our president) sees as the Eastern liberal elite. As much as I was behind Kerry, 100% behind him, I now realize that Wesley Clark would have perhaps been a better candidate with a better chance. He's more like them than Kerry. On the other hand, when he was running in the primaries, they started to trash him about why he was 'fired' from the Joint Chiefs' position he held. We know it was political; they won't see it. Obama is a great possibility - but would they vote a black man into the presidency.

I can't help believing that Kerry actually won, but we will probably never know. It still drives me absolutely crazy when I hear that Bush rated higher than Kerry in traits that Bush doesn't possess. I don't think he knows the meaning of integrity. This was all about marketing. Rove did a better job of making Bush into something he is not. Kerry is too honorable to have prostituted himself in that way. The Swift Boat liars got their vengence and we lost a potentially great president who would have brought the world together in peace and harmony.
