    I especially like your 1st update-it's what I've been thinkin' about all morning.

    As some posters have noted below, one of the major questions going around in these conversations is whether the Democratic party should reach out to the "moral values" crowd, or claim more firmly the moral imperatives that it already has. Let's be clear: I'm coming on on the latter side, not the former.

    Yes, the latter is where we need to go. We have a very, very proud tradition, and it's one that I believe is built on the basic tenets of the world's great religions-AND secular humanism. It is incorporated in the Constitution. Let's build on that.
